Welcome to our blog. Our purpose is to establish and maintain a connection with the Carpenter family and our ancestors. We are descendents of Martin and Margaret Varner Carpenter who sailed from Amsterdam on the Ship Juffraw Johanna and arrived in New York Harbor October 16, 1821 with their three sons Jacob, Lourents and Johan (John Sincere Carpenter).
Martin and Margaret settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and had five more children, Martin Jr., Adam, Henry, Mary Elizabeth and Louisa.
